We’ve worked with Luigi Bevilacqua for over twenty years now, supplying their fabrics to interior designers across the UK working on high-end and luxury interior projects.

Over that time, their fabrics have found their way into a wide range of schemes, from more traditional settings through to quieter, more contemporary interiors, and what’s always been noticeable is how consistently they behave within a space.

They’re not the kind of luxury fabrics that announce themselves immediately. On a hanger, they can feel quite restrained, without obvious pattern or unnecessary detail, but once they’re placed within a scheme, something shifts and they begin to sit more naturally within the room.

The weight of the cloth, the depth within the weave, and the way the surface responds to light all start to come through more clearly, and it becomes apparent that they’re doing more than first expected. It’s not something that happens all at once, but rather something that builds over time.

From what we see working closely with interior designers, these fabrics tend to come into their own at a particular stage in a project, often towards the end, when most of the key decisions have already been made. The palette is working, the layout feels resolved, and yet there can still be a sense that something isn’t quite holding.

More often than not, that comes down to material selection.

Fabric plays a central role in how a space is experienced, particularly in high-end interiors where every element is considered in detail. It sits close to everything else, both visually and physically, and is often repeated across a scheme, which gives it a quiet but consistent influence.

When it’s right, the entire space tends to settle.

Alongside this, there’s been a growing awareness around repetition in interior design. Some fabrics, no matter how well designed, begin to appear across multiple projects, and what initially feels distinctive can gradually become familiar.

For designers working on luxury projects, maintaining a sense of originality is increasingly important.

This is one of the reasons we’ve continued our long-standing relationship with Luigi Bevilacqua. As an exclusive fabric supplier in the UK for this collection, we’re able to introduce these fabrics in a more considered and controlled way.

Rather than being widely distributed, they are placed carefully within projects where they feel most appropriate.

It’s not about limiting access unnecessarily, but about ensuring the fabrics retain their impact and don’t become overexposed within the design community.

Because ultimately, part of what defines a truly high-end fabric is not just how it looks in isolation, but how well it holds its position over time, within a scheme, and across different projects, without losing what made it feel distinctive in the first place.
